Larry A. Mizel


Chairman & Co founder
Larry A. Mizel is the founder of MDC Holdings, one of the largest U.S. homebuilding companies in the market today where he served as the CEO, Chairman, and then Executive Chairman of the Board through 2024. Additionally, he has been actively involved in many charitable, religious, and community causes and was Chairman of the Simon Wiesenthal Center for over 20 years. Larry is a founder and former Chairman of Colorado Concern, current Chairman of the Mizel Institute, and co-founder of the Denver Rustlers. He is also active in the Navy Seal Foundation, Denver Police Foundation, Homeland Defense Foundation, JewishCOLORADO, and the Colorado State Patrol Foundation. Larry has been recognized with honors from: the Milken Institute, the University of Denver Burns School of Business, the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, Navy Seal Foundation, Ellis Island Foundation, Colorado Business Hall of Fame, the 88th Brigade of the National Guard, and Volunteers of America – Colorado. He and his wife, Carol, have two children and six grandchildren.

Rabbi Marvin Hier

Rabbi Marvin Hier is Founder and Dean Emeritus of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and Co-Chairman of the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem. He founded the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles as well as Moriah Films and it was his idea and vision to create a Museum of Tolerance in Jerusalem. He is the recipient of two Academy Awards for Documentary Features and has been a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences for over forty years. He is the first Orthodox Rabbi in American history to deliver an invocation at a Presidential Inauguration which took place in 2017 for President Donald Trump and the first American to be chosen by the government of Israel to light the Torch of Remembrance of Israel’s Independence Day. He is the recipient of two honorary Ph.D’s from Yeshiva University and Soka University in Japan and was named “Knight of the National Order of Merit” and awarded French Legion of Honor by French President Francois Mitterrand. He was also named “The Most Influential Rabbi in America” twice by Newsweek Magazine.

Marc Utay founded Clarion in 1999 and provides the firm’s strategic Vision and Leadership. He was previously a Managing Director and Co- Head of the MET Group, the Leveraged Finance Group, and the Retail Group at Wasserstein Perella & Co. In addition, he has held senior positions at BT Securities, Ken Capital Partners, and Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc. Marc is a Member of the Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, and is the Co-Chair of the Annual Campaign for UJA Federation of NY. He is also a long-time member of the Board of Trustees for the Simon Wiesenthal Center and a former member of its Executive Committee.

Dawn Aaron is an accomplished businesswoman, investor, and philanthropist. She is the Chairman of SBP Capital Corporation and a seasoned executive with more than three decades of operational experience in financial services and real estate. A committed philanthropist, Dawn serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Simon Wiesenthal Center.

Sylvan Adams is Israeli Canadian businessman and philanthropist who, since moving to Israel, has devoted himself to serving his country as the “self-appointed ambassador-at-large for the state of Israel.” Sylvan has brought large-scale world-class events to Israel, to show the true face of Israel to large foreign audiences around the world. Sylvan is the only Israeli member of the Giving Pledge, an organization for billionaires committed to giving away a majority of their wealth to philanthropic pursuits. He recently was the first Israeli to be crowned world cycling champion at the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in Scotland, which he won in the Master’s (amateur) category. He was also honored as one of the torch lighters at Israel’s 75th birthday celebrations. When asked what his next project might be, he replies, “stay tuned, I’m just getting started.”
