Parents of members of Beitar Nordia’s soccer club gathered at the MOTJ

Led by Shlomi Irim, a former soccer player himself and current educational entrepreneur at the Health Ministry, he gave them first-hand insights from the perspective of a player and as a current parent himself.

He described soccer as “the field of life” explaining that a player learns all the valuable tools needed for success off the field, such as social skills, perseveranceand dealing with failure or defeat.

For Shlomi, soccer is “the elixir of life,” and he related that for the children of the parents in the attendance, it was likely the same. This, however, does not diminish the importance of schooling and proper education. Shlomi encouraged parents to find the proper balance between sport and school in order to ensue their child is best prepared for a life post-soccer.

Beitar Nordia was founded in 2014 by former Beitar Jerusalem fans who wanted a team that better respected their beliefs and values. The team comprises of Jerusalemites of all stripes – religious Jews, secular Jews, and Arabs – all joining together in a common cause of sport. Their dedication to tolerance on the field led to our strengthening partnership.

MOTJ wishes Beitar Nordia a successful season ahead!
