The route features historically and culturally significant locations, including the historic Palace Hotel, buildings that have been given new life as community arts spaces, and the Mahane Israel neighborhood—one of the first neighborhoods built outside the Old City walls. Participants will also pass by the YMCA, adorned for Christmas and symbolizing interfaith connection, before concluding the experience in the Yemin Moshe neighborhood, illuminated by Hanukkah menorahs.
The tour is guided by the museum’s certified tour guides, departs from the museum plaza, and lasts approximately three hours.
In addition, the museum will offer its Hanukkah tour “Between Beit Hillel and Beit Shammai – On Disagreement and Tolerance in Jerusalem.” This tour focuses on the culture of debate and dialogue between different streams and communities in the city, taking participants along Hillel and Shammai Streets, the Nahalat Shiva area, and additional nearby sites. It lasts about three hours and is open to the public.
